Together, our instructors share close to 30 years of experience in Martial Arts as well as a passion for teaching others. Trained and certified through Advanced Shotokan International (ASI), they offer cutting edge instruction in both traditional and modern interpretations of material arts training. Classes will consist of traditional Japanese-style karate, ju-jitsu, kendo, and self-defense techniques. Students should expect to be challenged both mentally and physically, to promote better physical fitness, character, and self-awareness. Adult and Youth Program. Ages 7 and up.

This class will be designed for anyone wanting to ease their way into a healthier and fit lifestyle for 2019. This lower to moderate intensity class will have a set structure to facilitate both cardiovascular and muscular strength and endurance.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner, accompanied by deep breathing. Often described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. Tai Chi is low impact and puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it generally safe for all ages. Limited to 14 participants. Sign-up today!

Open gymnasium time available for those who would like to get together and play pick-up games of basketball. Open to adult members of CVPH Wellness and Fitness Center and Community members who want to walk in to play.

Free to our members and $2.00 walk-in fee for community members. $2.00 pass limits the guest to the gymnasium for basketball only.
*Members and community members: Please bring clean shoes and change out of outside shoes in the lobby. Dirty, salty, muddy shoes are not allowed on the gymnasium floor.
Open to all members and non-members in our community. A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. This unique game was created with one thing in mind: fun! The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. This activity is a great way to beat those winter blues. Pickleball nets, paddles and balls will be provided in the Gymnasium during the times listed below. Grab a partner, come in and play Pickleball!

Non-Member Pickleball day pass: $2.00
The Youth Exercising Safely (YES) program consists of 3, 1-hour training sessions with one of our degreed and certified fitness specialists. During these sessions, participants will be instructed on strength training, cardiovascular training, as well as safety, and facility etiquette. Fitness specialists will orient participants to a variety of cardiovascular and strength training equipment in addition to providing them with a basic exercise routine. Upon successful completion of the program, he/she becomes eligible to join their parent’s agreement as an additional youth member.
