Get your children out of the house this summer and into a fun and physical environment! This 3 week camp will encourage kids to participate in a variety of activities, 3 days a week. This camp will introduce children between the ages of 8 and 12 to a lifestyle of physical fitness in a fun environment. Participants will enjoy constant movement with activities such as, swimming, basketball, pickleball, obstacle courses, games, etc. Participants will need to bring a swim suit, towel, water bottle, snack if desired and wear athletic clothing and sneakers. Limited to the first 20 participants who register and pay.

Instructors Sarah and Tim will be teaching three summer sessions of Introduction to Karate. Each Sensei will offer instruction in both traditional and modern interpretations of martial arts training. Beginner classes will consist of traditional Japanese-style karate, jiu-jitsu, kendo as well as self-defense techniques. Students should expect to be challenged both mentally and physically, promoting better physical fitness, character and self-awareness. (ages 7+)

Cardio kickboxing will kick-start your fitness goals with an awesome aerobic workout that will increase your endurance, burn fat, tone muscle, and build skills and confidence in your ability to defend yourself. This class is great for those that are looking for fun and fresh ways to efficiently burn 500-1,000 calories in a 60-minute class session. Classes include plyometrics, partner and group exercises with intense cardio and strength workouts. No prior experience or boxing skills are necessary to participate in classes but participants will need to be able to work out at higher intensities for prolonged periods of time. All exercises are explained in detail and form is corrected by the instructor.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner, accompanied by deep breathing. Often described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. Tai Chi is low impact and puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it generally safe for all ages.

Open to all members and non-members in our community. A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. This unique game was created with one thing in mind: fun! The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. This activity is a great way to beat those winter blues. Pickleball nets, paddles and balls will be provided in the Gymnasium during the times listed below. Grab a partner, come in and play Pickleball!

The Youth Exercising Safely (YES) program consists of 3, 1-hour training sessions with one of our degreed and certified fitness specialists. During these sessions, participants will be instructed on strength training, cardiovascular training, as well as safety, and facility etiquette. Fitness specialists will orient participants to a variety of cardiovascular and strength training equipment in addition to providing them with a basic exercise routine. Upon successful completion of the program, he/she becomes eligible to join their parent’s agreement as an additional youth member.
